Guys, I’m feeling strange today… Yesterday at night i attended to a concert of Weave… Some kind of “cold wave/punk/rockabilly band led by a guitar soloist looking like the natural son of Freddy Mercury and Elvis Costello… But people who know me won’t understand why I feel so weird since this band isn’t the weirdest I’ve ever seen or heard (despite the awful taste for clothing that those American guys have when they get disguised in German garage-band fans) … So its not the performance they produced (which was enjoyable but the audience wasn’t warm enough in my opinion to allow areal tremendous show) ! Neither it is because after the concert, that Freddy Costello junior told me that the Drummer was retarded (as all drummers are). Neither it is because the Asian keyboard player and singer of the group couldn’t help telling me i was quite handsome and compared me to an American actor… It is because i bought a CD from them! OMFG I BOUGHT a CD… I usually don’t buy crap, i only put vinyl in my ears ! But this on has a kool orange Stegosaurus spray-painted on it… hand made … the track-list is hand written on a blank hotel order form using two different colors! The CD label is hand written in red with a frantic style… and they signed the back of the CD case, brushed their hair with it so I could eventually clone them… A real old school release…
